About Clara Church of God
Our History
Called to order September 21, 1963 by Rev. L.J. Weeks of Mobile, AL. Bro. Travis Henderson was appointed pastor with D.L. Stevens as clerk.
There was 28 adult charter members and 7 children. This took place under a tent in a cow pasture on the Clara-Chicora Road about 3/4 mile from the present church location.
